With grateful hearts the Generalate Staff gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving 2021 in person. Carolyn Cox, Director of Social Events and Hospitality, did an outstanding job of organizing and hosting the wonderful event, which was truly enjoyed by all members the Generalate Staff and Volunteers.
Like every year, we organize the fundraising campaign for our ministries through Giving Tuesday.
Although it is a national holiday in USA, Thanksgiving is an opportunity for all people to give thanks for life and opportunities on our way.
We share with you our Thanksgiving celebration in the USA. Sisters gathered for a Liturgy in Chapel of the Incarnate Word and Sisters from Mexico and Peru joined the celebrations.
The University of the Incarnate Word dedicated Mission Lobby to the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word who served at the University, in thanksgiving for their dedicated work with the University students and in honor of the 150th Anniversary of the Congregation.
In our work, when we go shopping, when we request a service, when we talk to our family… every day we express our gratitude to other people; we do it automatically and we forget that gratitude should be a conscious act done with reflection.
