Dr. Thomas Evans’ remarks at the Incarnate Word Day Mass
Good evening. We are so blessed to be able to come together in person, with the Sisters and with our sister sponsored ministries, in celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation and Incarnate Word Day. We have not been able to celebrate Mass in this way for more than a year — and this fellowship has been sorely missed and greatly needed.
Celebrating with our Associates
Our associates were active and present during the congregational celebration journey. The Sisters thank their associates for their contributions and their much-needed enthusiasm in these difficult times, thank you dear associates for being part of the Family of the Incarnate Word.
Sister celebration on Zoom
With an enormous effort, the Sisters of all ages and all nationalities managed to meet, thanks to technology, to share Vespers, a spiritual Retreat, and Mass for the celebration of the Feast of the Incarnation. In the photos, we can see the Sisters during their Retreat.
Feast of the Annunciation
The Mystery of the Incarnation is the Foundation of our Life
Incarnate Word Day
March 25 is the Feast of the Annunciation, the Feast Day of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Today, we gather together remotely, and pray for the needs of the world at this crucial and dangerous time in our collective history. At noon we will take together a minute of silence, and then recite the Angelus. Pope Francis has also asked that the whole People of God take a moment of silence at noon on March 25 and recite the Our Father. We join our prayer with that of the Holy Father’s.
