We send greetings from the CCVI community in Nuevo Chimbote. Our life continues to be marked by COVID-19. This reality challenges us to respond to our Mission: ”to be the presence of the healing love of God”.
Since the pandemic hit, six pop-up shelters for the unhoused have emerged in St Louis city and county. This major endeavor to move hundreds of people off the streets has created safe shelter, and amplified needs for health services. Incarnate Word Foundation has provided funding to the Build Missouri Health coalition, through the region’s COVID-19 response team, to underwrite the costs of electronic tablets, hotspots, and other systems to connect shelter staff to telehealth support systems.
Thank you all for responding to the request to support the concept of a billboard hosting a message from the St. Louis Catholic Sisters. We will have four moving billboards in St. Louis.
After the murder of George Floyd, we gathered a group of alumnae and current students together with the purpose of drafting a new statement, planning a prayer service, and putting a plan together for future dialogues.
This Tuesday, June 9, 2020 – 6:30 pm CDT, Home2Home San Antonio presents: Sister Martha Ann Kirk “Together We Can Make Things Better”.
In these difficult times for all people, the CCVI Sisters in Peru participated in the delivery of 50 food packages in the desert areas near Chimbote where they work. In conjunction with the Santa Ana Hospital and Confer Lima, the Sisters organized for the delivery of these first packages, which, although they do not cover all the needs, provide exceptional help for these communities in need.
