Independence celebration during Associates visit in Mexico City, and Sisters of the Sacred Family Community at Casa San Angel.
On September 1st, Associates of the Holy Spirit Community had the pleasure of spending a Mexican Party with our dear CCVI Sisters in Casa San Ángel’s Infirmary.
We began by putting ourselves in the presence of Jesus Incarnate Word, with the reading of the Word of God for the day. We continued with a semblance of the History of that moment in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato without omitting the traditional harangue with which priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla called the town, he rang the bell with an emotional shout: Viva México! Viva la Independencia! Long live the heroes who gave us freedom! And the Sisters shouted loudly to respond: Long live Our Lady of Guadalupe! Viva! Viva!
We could not miss the folk dances and the lottery game, where everyone was excited and very attentive to win a prize, they also wore bracelets that they received when they arrived at the room, which were decorated with beautiful images of national symbols.
We: Virginia Rangel, Nora de Llano, Silvia Herrera and Alicia García, thank Jesus Incarnate Word for giving us these moments of joy and having a good time with the Sisters in the Infirmary, from which we will keep very pleasant memories.
