God comes to us through people, moving them to act on God’s behalf. One such person was Juan Diego who played a very significant part in bringing the Good News of the Gospel to the peoples of Mexico.

Juan Diego overcame his own fear, and the doubts of Bishop Juan de Zumarraga. Juan Diego cooperated with God’s grace so that people would come to know that the Good News is for everyone. We all must listen and respond, as did Juan Diego, proclaiming the Good News by our words and by our actions.
